Welcome to the new home of Star Sector Northeast Florida!
Star Sector Northeast Florida was founded in 1986, and is the regional fantasy and science fiction society for Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia, promoting fellowship amongst fen and appreciation of all genres of fantasy and science fiction. We are also the sponsoring body behind JUMPGATEJAX, a new convention coming to Jacksonville in 1999.
This website will be updated regularly with new information on our group, our activities, and other information of interest to fen in the region. Keep checking back!
VISION : To become the premier fantasy and science-fiction appreciation society in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia.
MISSION : To support the fen in the region, to foster fellowship amongst all fen, and to promote the appreciation of all genres of fantasy and science-fiction throughout the region.
Our meetings are normally held every last Wednesday of the month, starting between 6:30p and 7:00p, at the Southeast Branch Library, located on Deerwood Park Rd and Gate Parkway in southside Jacksonville. More specific instructions will be forthcoming; in the meantime, contact Karl Meyers at [email protected] for information.
Monthly meetings are not held in November or December, due to the holidays those months. December is the month of the annual Star Sector Christmas Party, normally held on the second Saturday of December at the Dragon's Tale in Atlantic Beach, Florida.
